Faliz Navidad

Hello all... It's December 22 and we are getting ready for Christmas around here. We went shopping yesterday and rapped gifts while listing to English Christmas music. The other day we were listing to "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and it was weird because ...it will only be my dreams this year. But that's ok.

I'm going to introduce you all to my team now because I realized that not many of you all know the 4 girls that I've been living with for the past 4 months so here they are.

Lisa
she is the leader per-say of the group. She graduated from Collage this past year and is almost engaged. She is living now with a small quiet Honduran family...a grandma, her daughter old enough to be Lisa's mom, and for a few months a brother that needs Jesus.

Kara
is a chick whom I've known for a long time and would have never thought we would be serving the Lord in Honduras together. She just graduated from high school and is not quite sure what she wants to do once this trip is over. She loves Honduras and said the other day that she wouldn't mind living here. She is living with a family of 3 girls where one of which is now married and has a son and daughter (her name is Carla) the other two are Tanya and Johanna.

Carolyn
is a chick who just met during HDC training. She also graduated this past year from high school and is planning on going to Houghton for English. She is a sometimes soft spoken caring person. The family that she is living with her mom is Carla (the one daughter who is married with 2 children) and her husband Cecar. The son is 3 and there daughter is 7 months. People down here say she Linda Gringa (pritty). She cannot stand cat calls, HA!! this is the wrong country to be in HA.

Examples of cat calls:
-Hola Linda (Hello beautiful)
-kissing noise realllly loud (for instance we can hear a kiss from across 4 lanes of traffic and honking)
-the most beautiful in the last 20 years
-most gringas are ugly but you all are beautiful
-you all are sexy and gorges
These are just a few of the ones that we could remember and explain. There are many more and it accrues every day, everywhere.

Adriane
this chick is so crazy good at art. She also is a girl who i met at HDC and also graduated from high school this past year. The family she lives with is huge I've not met all of them yet and i live 4 or 5 houses away. She is kinda tall in the USA, but here she is a giant.

So there is my team, i hope that you now feel a little closer to them.
